FMP | Photographing berries

Yesterday I tried taking photos of berries for the magazine because scanning didn’t work with them. I am not sure how I’ll be using the photos yet but I thought it might be useful putting images of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries into the section about summer. I went to Tesco and bought lots of berries and then went to photograph them in the photography room in the library.

It was quite quick but it was difficult to get the lighting right. The contrast of the berry and the white background made the berry really dark. Or the lights reflected from the shiny strawberries. Also I don’t know why the white backdrop looks so blue in most of the photos. It might have been better to photograph the berries in natural light. But I think I can make in better in Photoshop later.
